Christmas Festivities (Applicable to ALL)
Nov. 28th, 2005 06:23 pmAs most of you may know (evidenced by the letters taped to your doors this morning), Ryuhana Gakuen has teamed with another local school to facilitate an anonymous gift exchange program. The faculty of both schools have combined the names of students at both institutions and randomly matched recipients to purchasers.
The gifts will be deposited in a repository in the school library, to be sorted by faculty, who will be distributing the gifts to their proper recipients. Names of recipients should be clearly marked to ensure that they will find their ways to the hands of the correct person. Please deposit your gifts no later than Thursday, 15 December as that will be the last full day of classes at Ryuhana before winter break. There will be a holiday party and gift exchange (as well as no classes) on Friday, 16 December, where students and faculty are welcome to invite friends and family to participate in the festivities.
Any student who will be leaving campus for winter break must sign the form in the main office with the place where he or she can be reached over the holidays.
Classes will resume Monday, 9 January 2006.
[ooc: The letters referenced above were indeed taped to student doors at both campuses. The content is essentially similar to what's posted here; BH letters of course make no mention of neither Ryuhana holiday dates nor the party. BH kids are welcome to leave campus for the holidays, but there's no official break. -- Anyway, each letter also contained a slip of paper with the name of the person that the student has to buy a gift for. I've notified almost everyone privately; if you haven't gotten a name, let me know. I've excluded the people who are on hiatus and/or currently inactive (actually, I think the only people who haven't been informed are Mina, Maria, and Gwen). BH letters also state that this is not mandatory and you won't be penalized if you respectfully abstain.Bitching will be penalized.
Feel free to talk about this behind cuts if you like, the 'secret' part of the 'secret santa' is IC only. When your character has purchased a gift, please comment to this entry with what it is and who it's for. Comments will be screened so any surprises won't be spoiled. I'll unscreen any comments that should be publicised. Thank you! ]
