Party Planning

So, there's going to be a party.

Although real parties are usually very fun, logging parties is really very difficult and time-consuming and generally winds up being a lot less than fun. General concensus, I believe, is to not actually log the party, as a whole, but rather to make references to any events that happened in the character journals.

There also seems to be a lot of plotting and planning about events that might take place during the party, especially since it's common knowledge among the students of both factions, thanks to the journals.

Therefore, let this post serve as a placemarker to discuss any events that we'd like to have happen at the party. Feel free to note what your character(s) will be doing, how they'll be dressed (it is a costume party, after all!); any discussions that might want to happen, that kind of thing. This is not a place to do logs, but rather, just give a generalized view of events that'll happen so we're all on the same page. We've got no problem if you decide to do a log based on anything you discuss here, though.

I suppose my only questions are whether a location and date have been decided on?

As far as I understand it, the Brotherhood are planning on crashing and also bringing alcohol. May want to make note of when that occurs (and how -- remember security is still pretty tight at Ryuhana) and what the residual effects might be. I might recommend making it an outdoor party, because that would facilitate the crashing, and also not require rebuilding the dorms again should any drunk teenage mutants get their powers out of control (pointed looks at Ohtori and An-chan).

That's a good idea because logging with lots of people is hard. Plus we never really did the venturing to Brotherhood thing due to er, things. *blink*

And if it's going to be outside and there's alcohol, Sakuno's going to kill anyone (bitchy drunk + force-fields = yay!) who goes near her little garden with evil intentions. *nod*

Oh, and I think I've already posted what Sakuno's going to be wearing. But I shall do it again for the gold-fish people (ie. me!). This pretty thing! And what she'll probably be doing? Standing in a corner! Er, well. Pretending to be a (invisible!) wallflower at least until An has other plans. *laughs*

Uh, and if the Brotherhood members are coming, to sneak in better (and avoid security!), I say they should have to dress up as well. >: D ... Or not. But shiny costumes, yay! D:

Tezuka has decided on a (boring) costume. He's going as a doctor, since all it involves is a white coat over his normal clothes. Anyone who can convince him to wear something else gets a cookie. An's costume is still Heaven Sent (http://www.threewisheslingerie.com/fairies.asp).

The party will either be a Friday or a Saturday, and having it in the garden is a good idea. Other than that, I have no idea of the specifics.

An will spend most of the party trying to get Sakuno to dance, then taking her back to her room after she passes out, if the brotherhood crash and bring alcohol.

Tezuka will stand off to one side glaring at everyone and wondering what the hell he's doing there, until he gets some alcohol in him. Then he'll get very chatty and affectionate.

And yes, I agree with Sakuno-mun. The Brotherhood should come in costume too. Costumes are fun ^^

Dan wants to go as a superhero. He's going to be wearing anything he found in his closet. It's basically going to be his old blankie, knee socks, a headband with holes in them for a mask, some shiny belt over his normal clothes...Along with a spatula he borrowed from the kitchen.

Dan's going to spend his time talking with people, having fun, and being a drunk spazzy boy. I can expect him causing accidents and such when he's drunk so...someone might need to keep a leash on him.

Niou already had plans to get Echizen drunk before news of the Brotherhood crash. :D [And while he's at it, he might as well work on Tezuka (..because chatty zukie would be most amusing).]

Details of Echizen's power-jacking if/when he loses control I happily leave with respective mun. :D;;;

He is also going to (discreetly <3) attempt to keep alcohol from the other ankle-biters (especially dan) and shall most likely fail miserably. Yay <3

He's going to be dressed, more or less, as a variation of anbu!Kakashi. With a fox mask.

As a note, I think drunk!giggly! Ryoma would also be a bit clingy... and probably couldn't really stand on his own, anyway. So he's either going to be sitting in a corner giggling into a cup he has to hold onto with both hands, or firmly attached to Niou's arm like an obliging little giggly catboy.

An outdoor party in the garden sounds great. :D Fresh air, sunshine [or moonshine, nighttime being better for sneaking in], alcohol…random chaos. It's perfect. ^_^ And we'll try not to blow up the dorms. :D Honest.

Date: No idea, but just for the sake of it, I may be gone from the 15th to the 18th. Still undecided.

Question: Will faculty be attending as well? As chaperones or something.

I think how security is handled depends on whether the brotherhood goes as one group or if people show up at different times, and who goes. As a group, it might be easier to break in. Combined resources and all, especially since some people have gotten in before and a few others have probably done general breaking and entering.

Kira'll show up if Saeki does, or if Niou begs someone else drags him. He's adverse to wearing a costume, though. :D *will stick him in bondage shirt and cat ears/tail if she must* He'll spend most of the night trying very hard to avoid his former classmates [and teachers, if they are in attendance], and probably won't succeed. Perhaps he'll try catch up with Tori, and find someplace to make out with Saeki. He will be randomly amused at the drunk munchkins, and does volunteer to bring decent music and steal a bottle or two of good vodka for the occasion. Whether he wants to or not. *glares at muse* ^___^

If Ryoma does get drunk and start going out of control, Kira will be available to grab and snag the muchkin away from the party before he does too much damage. Just let me know. :D

Snagging the munchkin might be a good idea. ^_^ If Niou doesn't do it himself when small things start exploding around Ryoma, Kamio's help might indeed be appreciated. I'll let you know~

Fuji is a reluctant attendee, but going anyway because really, what better way to know what's up with everyone?

He's planning on standing in a corner (maybe Tezuka's corner >D) and observing, for the most part.

If drunk, the hold on his sight may very well slip and he'll be back to blindness (at least until he sobers up and can regain control). He'll definitely be less guarded, probably be more honest, and almost certainly flirty.

He may try to corner some of the Brotherhood people (namely Kamio) before the alcohol starts affecting him for a "friendly chat" -- more or less to see what they have to say about how they run their operations; for Kamio he just might have an apology. Maybe.

Kamio should be able to pry himself off away from Saeki for a small chat with Fuji. ^_^ He'll be wary, though, and probably snark -- though for once, it might actually sound like he's teasing. Depends on how much alcohol he's had, how strong it is, and how quickly he consumed it. >.>;;;

If there's an apology, he will probably be a mixed of stunned, confused and "what are you wanting from me".

I don't have too many plans for Kaidoh (he's coming with Ohtori, though, and I'm pretty sure by now he's settled on being a Roman...?). If Akutsu or Shishido are there he'll probably keep a wary eye on them, and otherwise stick to Ohtori like glue because he... doesn't really know anyone else. >>; He's hard to get drunk, though, so he might still be sane if sanity is required at any point.

I'm thinking if he does, maybe people like Ohtori, Sakuno, Fuji, and Niou. AND OMG SOMEONE GET SHISHIDO TO THAT PARTY. I'm horribly, horribly evil and want to give him wings so badly. If someone (Niou, Kamio) could grab him when his power starts really going kablooey, though, that would be very much appreciated. <3 (I'd also love to log wings with... someone if they do happen. But that all depends on if Shishido comes.)

Shishido feels the urge to go just so he could run interference between Kaidoh and Ohtori - and try to get snuggly Ohtori time for himself. But then he'd probably be all confused on why he'd want snuggly Ohtori time to himself and end up getting drunk and flying into a building....

He's going to be an armoured warrior angel. He's vain and wanted to look good, wouldn't let me anywhere near him with a duck costume.

He'll probably only stay long enough to get in a few arguments and such.

well, as awsome as it would be for him to be in costume (cuz I think the brotherhood in costume would be TEH COOL), there isn't much he can wear considering he's a walking computer.
