Date: Today, sometime in the early to mid afternoon.
Rated: R. There is violence. There is Aku's filthy potty mouth.
Summary: Akutsu's bored and decides to harass Davide, who's returning from a visit home. They meet up with some unexpected company.

Hanging around the gates of Ryuhana just wasn't the same in winter, Akutsu decided, flicking a spent cigarette over the wrought iron. Dan wasn't with him, so he didn't exactly have an invitation in that didn't include a little B&E. How the Kid made friends with everyone he met, he didn't know. Probably something to do with him being cuter than hell.

Plus, no one seemed to be out and about...he blamed the weather. Buncha soft kids in there, it was no wonder. He'd been bored, had been thinking maybe they tossed the moron with the plants outside for awhile. Or at least someone he could have a little fun with and not worry about breaking anything. He was starting to get looks for butting heads--and other things--with the Pidgeon, and hell if he wanted to hang around and get them from the boys he now deemed his 'pack'.

He'd entertained himself a while by flipping off the security cameras he could see, and in some cases hear. Faint mechanical whines and the buzz of hidden electricity were things he could pick up most of the time. But he was getting down to his last smoke, and he'd been out for more than enough, he figured. Time to get back if no one was going to come out of their hidey holes.

The flavour of the day was loud English techno, and after the previous holiday, Davide found it appropriate to pile a gracious amount of Toy Box songs into the memory of his new iPod Touch. As it was his habit, the headphones were not pushed into the jack completely, leaving his right earpiece without music. He watched the trees and road blur past the window of the car while half listening to his sister talking on her cellphone as she drove.

"Yes, the meeting with the client's son can be pushed to next week. What day is most convenient for him?"

"Sonday?" Amane asked aloud. She ignored him as she usually did, and slowed the car in front a set of gates. His puns and jokes were just as common at home as it was everywhere else in his life, though he was humoured far less at home. Amane unbuckled his seat belt and gathered his bag, leaning over to give his sister a kiss before exiting the car.

She caught his sleeve with one hand, the mouthpiece of her cellular pressed into her dress collar. "Hikaru-kun." She raised a slender eyebrow at him and gave him a look. It was a long moment before she dropped her hold on his sleeve.

"Yes, Neesan~" He shut the car door. Names, Amane thought, rolling the sound of them around in his mind, were filled with meaning. She called him by his given name while warning against stupidity, recklessness and unnecessary loudness. He responded with polite, if not forced, innocence, with just the right amount of 'I'll try not to'. In reality, though, if it were fascinating enough, he would encourage such things.

He turned around as she drove away, and came face-to-face with the Ryuhana crest. Davide winked at the dragon as he was accustomed to (it never hurt, in case it came alive some day, stray mutant-powers or otherwise) and then turned his attention to the person also standing outside the gate. With a flick of his fingers, Davide turned the sound off on his iPod and gave the stranger a curious glance.

Wouldn't you fuckin' know it...right when he was ready to go, someone decided to show up. He didn't recognize the guy, but if he went by icons on that journal thing, it looked like the redhead that had thought he was 'interesting'.

In other words: this guy was probably mentally defective. Well, what the hell, might be good for a chuckle or two.

"Gotta smoke, Red?", he drawled, still comfortable mostly hidden behind a tree beside the gate. This was one of those 'Hana brats...he kept on alert just in case he was about to be attacked or reported. Never could tell with these guys, and he definitely hadn't forgotten his last encounter here. He flicked his smoldering cigarette butt--his next to last--down at the redhead's feet and shoved off of the wall with his shoulder, slowly yet purposefully moving around the other, circling him.

Davide slid his stance back in an imitation of the statue that he was nicknamed after. He kept his right hand in the pocket of his pants and brought the other up to his shoulder. Is this how the statue felt, watched from all angles and circled by tourists? He wondered if he would have to prevent a tragic decent from marble to rubble, and watched the other guy somewhat closely.

"Sorry, I don't have a match," Davide said unhelpfully.

Akutsu snorted. Yeah, that was really helping the 'mental defective' label, there. "Didn't ask you for a light, Red", he said gruffly, boldly walking right into the other's personal space. "Late for class?" Sure, he was bullying. He was being intimidating. He was practically nose to nose with the redhead. He also wasn't exactly sure what he was looking for. A reaction, a fight...someone to shoot the breeze with. Hell, anything would be better than being bored, he figured, and he wasn't in the mood to nap the rest of the day. Too restless.

"Hope you remembered the apples for the teacher", he taunted lowly, bumping the other's bag with his foot.

Davide smiled at him, and reached out to smooth a wrinkle in the other's shirt, breaking his statue stance. How unusual~ "Perhaps it stems from last term, but I don't find it a fruitful course of action." He enjoyed the voice of the fellow with the curiously-coloured hair. The vibration was subtle and low, deep in his chest. Davide wondered if he could draw the sound out to play with in the air. Or bottle it and bounce it around.

He tilted his head and hummed a little, sustaining the sound around him and then letting it go. "What should I call you~?"

The smile should have warned Akutsu right off the bat. Hell, he already suspected the other of being a moron, now he was being smiled at, and touched casually and...were those supposed to be puns? He grabbed the hand that was touching him, fingers tightening warningly around the redhead's wrist. "What, are we girlfriends or some shit? Not like I asked what the hell your name was, Red." He growled a bit into the other's face. He wasn't used to this 'friendly' shit, despite Dan's better efforts; it still made him a bit uneasy.

Such intentional close quarters, and a small touch upsets him? Davide almost laughed at the reaction, and changed the urge into an toothy grin. "It seemed you were familiar with me, Ookami-kun~ I returned the favour." He remembered him from the school fair, since cries of 'Akutsu-san! Akutsu-san!' from a little green kid was hard to forget, and vaguely from a few encounters online.

Experimentally, Davide casually tried to twist his wrist out of Akutsu's hold.

Akutsu held on, unintentionally pulling the redhead closer. "What the fuck did you just call me, Red?", he snarled, golden eyes narrowing at the grin and the obvious amusement of the other mutant.

"You didn't give me a name to call you, Akkun~" Davide pretended to pout. "Now...are you going to ask me questions three, or is there another way through the gates of the dragon?" His pouting expression was quickly abandoned for a challenging eyebrow raise, and a glance to the school gates.

"Seem to know me, don't you..." The white haired mutant muttered and glanced where the other did, at the dragon embossed crest hanging on the gates. Looking back, he glared. "Now I'm a fucking troll at the bridge?" Yeah, he knew that stupid story too. Then he blinked. "Hell...that was three, wasn't it. Guess that's too fucking bad, cause the gates ain't opening."

"You have me under a-wrist then?" It was a little bit awkward to stand around with his arm held in the air, even for a guy who excelled at making situations a little bit awkward. He flicked his fingers over what part of Akutsu's hand he could reach, wondering if it would annoy him again.

The other growled. Hell, did this guy take anything seriously? Maybe he ought to break his damn arm...instead, he growled again at the fingers flicking him and bent the redhead's wrist back, flicking him in the face with his own knuckles. "Rather be on your ass, Red?"

"Rather be on a steed," Davide said with a small smile. He closed his eyes temporarily, as Akutsu's hand appeared closely in his line of vision. "But I don't see any... So leaping over the gate seems out of the quest-ion as well." All-in-all, Akkun was as curious as he thought he'd be. It was rather pleasing~

Davide blinked a few times before focusing again on the other's irritated expression. "If you aren't the bridge-troll, then what brings you here~?"

It had to have been all the references to fairy tales and bedtime stories that had the next words out of Akutsu's mouth slipping out. "Maybe I'm the fuckin' wolf, Red, lookin' for someone to eat. Got an old lady handy?" He nearly cursed at himself and dropped the other's wrist, annoyed beyond hell for getting sucked into the wordplay. And hell if it didn't feel wrong to start smacking around someone that fucking cheerful. Probably would be like whacking Dan around, and just the thought of that irked him. Since the brat wasn't intimidated at all, and he didn't feel like beating the shit out of him, he stepped around the redhead easily, slapping his ass just to fuck with him, and scooped up his bag, shouldering it.

"Guess I'll just see what shit you got in here. Thanks for givin' to charity, Red." Not that he thought there was anything of value to himself in there, but the Ryuhana brats were pretty well off for the most part, right? Hell, it'd be like Christmas at the mansion, letting the others have whatever they liked. He sauntered away at a good pace, not intending to look back at the redhead he'd just non-violently mugged.

Important things, as a general rule, were kept in shirt and pant pockets. iPod? Check. Cash, ID and the sort? Check. Cellphone? Check. ...but his new set of tuning forks, and a belated Christmas present for Yukimura, that he had specifically gone home for that weekend, since it was left there during the holidays, where still in the bag, among other stuff.

Davide caught up with Akutsu, leaving the ass-smack to be returned, perhaps, at a later time. "While I do give donations, I prefer in cash instead of possessions." He skipped in front of the other mutant, smiling as he walked backwards, facing him. "I would appreciate my bag back~"

"Yeah? Tough shit. My bag now." Akutsu tried to ignore the grinning young man in front of him, stepping this way and that. But the redhead seemed to keep in tune with him, and ahead of him. Uttering a low, irritated growl, he sped up, butting right into the other's personal space and nearly knocking him over. Hell, he'd walk right over him if he had to.

"Go on back to your little kiddie school, Red. I'll take good care of your shit. Whatever I can't fence, that is."

Davide stopped walking and opened his arms, closing them around Akutsu as they smashed into each other. "I wood, but it would be a real pain-t to replace a few of those things." He smiled and linked his fingers together, holding onto the top handle his bag at the same time.

Nothing could have surprised Akutsu more than getting hugged by the strange redhead in the middle of the street. Except maybe getting a good whiff of the other's scent and not finding it repulsive...he shook his head and growled ominously. "What the fu--Get the fuck off me, Red. Before you kiss pavement." He shoved at the other with his free hand, hard, and growled again when he felt the pull of the bag off of his arm. He grabbed it back, grabbing the other's arm and wrenching it off with swift motions.

"Take your lame ass puns, shove 'em up your ass and get moving, before you piss me off."

"With my possessions, much obliged~" Amane stepped into the space between them and was able to bend his hand down to grip the other mutant's arm in return. He also kept a solid hold on the backpack, and pushed it away from both of them, at arms length. He smiled again, this time through a lowered gaze at Akutsu.

"The fuck, are you that fucking attached to your underwear, Red?" Having had about enough of the shit, and feeling damn weird that the other kept touching him in some way, Akutsu kicked out a foot, hooking the redhead at the ankles and sending him sprawling on the ground. Unfortunately, said redhead didn't let go of the bag when he went down, and Akutsu yanked at it, nearly ripping the other handle in the process. He snorted, and yanked it harder, listening to the fabric rip.

"Maybe I oughta just shred it all, huh? You want it back when its confetti?"

The smile dropped from Davide's face as the velvet pouch with his tuning forks toppled out of the bag and onto the ground. Dimly, through the momentary disorientation of falling, he heard the muffled tones of the forks, barely resonating through the fabric. He could see the parcel for Yukimura, still in the bag. A few shirts fluttered onto the pavement.

For the sake of the pun, and only for the sake of the pun, Davide said, "I go commando," and then tried the same trick that had just been done on him. He kicked out with both feet, trying to get Akutsu at the ankles. At the same time, he pulled a little on the bag and then let it go completely.

If Davide hadn't let go of the bag at the same time, Akutsu would have been able to use that split second to right himself as the two feet knocked into his shins. But it wound up only giving him momentum to fall back on his own ass, the contents of the bag spilling completely onto the sidewalk.

It pissed him off enough to growl and snap around to lunge at the other, pinning Davide to the ground with a fist wrapped around the collar of his shirt, other fist raised and ready. "Fucking dumbass! You wanna try that shit again?" He stopped the light-speed descent of his fist a mere centimeter from Davide's nose, growling, looking for a flinch. It was goddamn weird, but he'd take the flinch over pounding on the guy.

All that bullshit friendliness must be getting to him.

The redhead didn't flinch, so much as breathe in sharply; he was sure he was going to get smashed in the face. He exhaled, "Stop," and forced it from his mouth in a high, focused burst of sound. As much as sparring had trained some fighting instincts into him, it was clear that if it really came down to it, Davide was at the disadvantage. At this point, though entertaining as Ookami-kun~ was, he didn't feel like returning with a less than Davide appearance, down one gift and down one tuning set. He repeated the command again, and tried to shove the other away from him.

The first burst of sound slammed into Akutsu's sensitive ears and stunned him, gritting his teeth from the pain to his eardrums. The second had him releasing the redhead, hands slamming over his ears and rolling away from him. "FUCK!" It was like dull needles jabbing straight into his ear and scraping, and just like that it was gone. He lay unmoving for a moment, cautious just in case it was coming again, and slowly lifted his hands form his ears, recovering and lifting a glaring face towards Davide.

"Bastard", he growled, and slammed his hand over a velvet pouch next to him before the redhead could grab it. A little deflated but definitely still angry, he chucked the bag out into the street.

For perhaps the first time, Davide felt quite upset with the turn of events. He grabbed for Yukimura's present first, and tucked it into his coat pocket as he stood. He ignored the unsettled feeling in the pit of his stomach, and glanced over at Akutsu, just as he was being glared at.

"Ookami-kun~" He said lightly, using the name with a clearer understanding. Davide went to pick up his tuning forks, turning his back away from Akutsu.

Akutsu watched the other walk out into the street, grumbling curses to himself. Maybe the idiot'd get himself run over...

Maybe Davide saw the car coming or not. But Akutsu was faster, instincts pushing him before he could register it fully. His arm circled the other and dragged him back, the redhead pressed back against his body for the moment as the car sped past.

"Dumbass...you'd better be okay", he growled in the other's ear, his own picking up the squeal of tires as the car spun around on the street, facing them, and another sped up to box them in on the street. Akutsu was instantly on alert. "The fuck..."

"The charity?" Davide asked, forcing them to walk backwards, further away from the vehicles. It seemed to be rather pointless, but... "Run, yes?"

His arm tightened around Davide's waist briefly, moving back and keeping his eyes trained on the car doors that were suddenly being flung open. "Shit", he hissed, feeling a momentarily disabling punch of panic flood his system. This was not good, this was not good..."Yes, fuck yes, run. Get back to the school." He let the other go, all but shoving him behind him in the opposite direction, and saw the guns snap out as men filed out of the cars.

Snarling, he dashed off into the opposite direction, barely missing being hit when they opened fire. It didn't sound like bullets, but they were shooting some kind of shit at him, and he wasn't sticking around to find out what. He was trusting that Davide would get himself away, and ducked into an alley nearby to lay in wait for the men chasing after him.

When they caught up to him, he let loose, catching them by surprise and battering them swiftly and mercilessly. Some bones were broken and a head smacked against the nearest building, but they all went down under Akutsu's assault.

Davide booked it in the opposite direction, going as far as he dared before spinning to face the attackers, the highest pitched tuning fork in one hand. He rang it against the nail of one of his fingers and amplified it as much as he could, directly at those chasing him. He then continued running, ducking between houses and doubling back to where he had left Akutsu. He knew that the people he downed weren't hurt that badly, and at the least, he had gotten himself a few moments distraction.

Making it back to the mansion was a no go, Akutsu soon found out as he doubled back himself. The bastards had backup. Sure, he could probably beat through them easily enough, but who knew what shit they were trying to shoot him with. Better to play it safe, see if he couldn't hijack one of their cars and get away. By this time, the redhead should have made it safely back to the school, so he didn't have to worry about th--

There was no word foul enough to utter, seeing Davide right where he left him, surrounded by men with guns. With a growl, he charged, tackling the nearest man, wresting his gun away and slamming the butt of it into the man's chin in an uppercut. Whirling, he turned on the others, fists flying. When enough of them were on the ground, he looked at Davide and snarled. "The fuck are you still standing there for? Move your ass!" He went to shove the other away, and didn't see the gun lifting up from the ground, leveled straight at him.

The tranquilizer dart hit him right in the neck, and then another. Akutsu's snarls died in his throat as he crumpled to the ground, and the remaining men converged over his body, the rest rising up slowly, aiming their guns at the red-haired mutant.

"Get in the car, unless you wanna end up like your friend here", one said, spitting out a bloody tooth.

Davide didn't move for a moment, staring at Akutsu lying on the ground. So much for going back to help. He took a small step forward, but apparently it wasn't fast enough for their captor's liking. He heard the tinny whizzing of the darts before they hit him, and only had time to touch them lightly at his neck before he crumpled to the ground, unconscious. He didn't even have time to make one last, dramatic pun.

ooc: Akutsu and Davide probably won't be considered missing until tonight. And everyone in the BH can have fun breathing a sigh of relief that Aku's gone for awhile lol ^_~
