Summary: Kite goes and finds Rin to kick his ass and help him not be so Mr. Angry Grumpy Pants. xD

Kite had been looking for Rin all over the place after having their little spat online. Rin was obviously in need of a good fist fight and Kite was more than inclined to give him one. The nerve of that ass. There Kite was hurting and grieving of having just lost his lover and Rin suddenly opens his fat mouth in anger, thereby, letting his cruel stupidity leak out all over the place. Where the hell did he get off?

Once he'd finally tracked the blond down, Kite called Rin on his cell phone waiting for him to pick up the phone. If Rin didn't answer, then Kite was going in and dragging him out. He was pissed and at the same time, he felt sorry for his friend. He'd help Rin feel better one way or another.

When his cellphone rang, first thing Rin did was to glare at it. As if that'd make it quiet. It didn't though, it rang again. And again. And when he picked it up, he saw who was so insistently calling -- Kite. Well, after that unpleasant talk they had earlier, he thought the other didn't wish to see him ever again. Though perhaps that was why exactly the man was calling.

He pressed the green button, accepting the call, he didn't really want to piss Kite off any more, and was also curious, "Yes?"

"I'm in the parking lot outside. Get out here or I'm coming in after you." And with that being all that was said, Kite hung up the phone. He stood there waiting for Rin to show his face, his glasses already off and in the car, his black short sleeve button up open showing a wife-beater that was stained with Ohtori's blood. Why ruin a perfectly good clean shirt when this one was already ruined? Plus, he wanted something else of Ohtori's to be there with him while he did this. He was also wearing his lover's cross that he'd taken after dropping the boy's body off at the city morgue.

Rin didn't bother changing, he left as he was, leaving his phone behind. The only thing that he did to prepare to see Kite was to tie his hair, so it wouldn't get in his face.
Kite was exactly there where he said he was. And Rin couldn't help but shake his head at his attire. Blood stained shirt? He knew that smell, he knew whose blood it was. As well as he knew whose cross was now on Kite's neck.
His chest was still aching, and he figured it was probably the bullet he got earlier, there was no other explanation. He'd have to ask Tomiyama for help. Again. But right now Rin didn't want to think about that. Even with that in, with the pain coming from it, he still was just as good at fist fights as ever. "Saying 'it's nice to see you again' might be a bit ironic right now, don't you think?"

He waited for Rin to get close enough and without saying a word, punched the other man as hard as he could across the jaw with a hell of a right hook. He then took off his over shirt and said, "It's nice to see you again," before throwing his shirt on the trunk of his car and getting ready for Rin to strike back. "You need this just as much as me. So let's dance."

... it was at times like those that Rin wished his mutation came with pain resistance as well. As it was, he shook his head, clearing it, and... without bothering to answer, punched right back, for once not tempering down his body's abilities and striking as fast as his mutation allowed him to (though not as strong as he could -- he didn't want to kill Kite or anything). He didn't wait long to land a second hit, punching Kite right in the gut.
Rin stepped away then, fists up in the usual fighting stance, waiting for the older man to make his move.

It took a minute for Kite to catch his breath before coming up quick, making full contact to Rin's right kidney before punching again hitting the blond square in the stomach. Rin was fast but Kite was just as much so if not more at times. They were pretty evenly matched but things wouldn't stay that way for too long. Kite was only planning on going all out for about twenty minutes or so before just letting Rin beat the shit out of him. "Stop holding back you ass."

Fuck. The blonde wheezed out a curse under his breath, but he didn't wait long to strike back, this time with full both, strength and speed. They sparred before, quite often. It was an awesome way to wind down, since they were equal in skills and strengths. In a way, at any rate. "With pleasure," he growled right into Kite's ear, as his fist connected with the man's flesh.
Immediately after that, he jumped away, kicking the side of Kite's head to floor him.

Seeing the kick coming, Kite blocked it, his arms taking the majority of the blow. He smirked darkly. "That's more like it." He quickly grabbed Rin's leg before the blond had a chance to pull away and kicked Rin in the stomach, knocking him backward. Kite then returned to his defensive stance and await Rin's neck move.

The kick wasn't hard enough to prevent Rin from simply back flipping and landing smoothly in a slight crouch. He waited a second, allowing the pain to dull a bit, before lunging forward again, right fist connecting with Kite's sternum. The left one shot out right after that, delivering a hard blow to the man's jaw.

After about twenty minutes, Kite had moved to just blocking Rin's attacks, after about ten minutes more of that, Kite just stopped altogether and had resorted to simply being Rin's personal punching bag. It hurt but only as long as Rin continued to hit him.

Anger was one of the things Rin felt rarely. It was almost impossible to get him raging. But right now this foreign feeling was blinding him, to the point that he did not notice Kite stopped even blocking him for a longer while. When he finally did, he took a fistful of the other's shirt, pulling him down to glare directly at him, "You're an idiot. You're such a fucking idiot." Snarling was another thing the blonde rarely ever did, but this time he couldn't stop himself, "Jesus Christ, what are you trying to achieve by letting me beat you?"

Kite just looked down at his friend with sad eyes. "Getting my friend back." He chuckled softly with a slight groan before the pain subsided again. "I figure if I let you beat this shit out of me, you'll come back to normal. It's what I had planned all along. It's also why I wore this shirt and his necklace. I knew it would only make things worse and seeing that Chou can't be here to help you feel better, I thought I'd stand in for him."

He then pulled free of Rin's grip and sighed. "Although, I'd have stood in for him anyway if he were still alive right now. I'm the only one that can survive you when you're enraged like this." He then pulled off his wife-beater and put his over shirt back on, buttoning it up as he continued. "Say and think what you will of him. Again, I'm not asking you to forgive him or anything of the sort. I was simply giving you some kind of closure in hopes it would help you. I care about you very much Rin. You're one of my best friends, if not my only one at the moment. Inui is not the Sadaharu I know. He's not the best friend I met years ago. So I make no excuse for either of them nor apology. So whatever, I did what I could for you and that is all I can do." He then threw the wife-beater into his car and pulled out his glasses again, putting them on and then just staring blankly at the blond. He was emotionally numb and physically drained. He looked like hell.

All Rin could do was sag his shoulders, as he gave Kite this pitiful expression, mixed feelings of resignation, helplessness and desperation showing through. "You're stupid," did he feel better? No, he didn't. Since they got back here, guilt was seeping into his mood. No matter what, he couldn't shake off this feeling that if... if the worst did happen after all, it'd be all his fault, what with him running off like that, without letting Tomiyama know, or anyone for that matter. Now he also realized what a terrible friend he was. Focusing on himself. His own feelings and problems. And... exactly as Kite put it, being an insensitive ass.

"I'm sorry," he murmured, "I have been a terrible friend. You should just go back to Okinawa, stay with your family until this mess is over," however it was going to end.

He shook his head. "I'm not going anywhere. I've already lost one of the people I care about, I'm not going to lose the rest. I'm staying here to help, if at all possible and to protect those I have left to care about here. Though, I doubt you'll need much protecting but it's nice to know I've got your back isn't it?" Kite smiled softly and wrapped an arm around Rin's shoulders. "I love ya man. You've always been a good friend. Regardless of when you're a complete ass and moron, you're still my friend and I wouldn't trade you for the world dude." He chuckled softly as he gave the blond a friendly hug.

All in all... Rin did appreciate the gesture. A friendly hug, as simple as it was, was reassuring. He tilted his head back a bit, resting it on Kite's shoulder, "Thank you. Make sure you stay alive, hm?" He raised one hand, taking the other's nose in between his index and middle finger, squeezing playfully, "I'll hate you forever if you die." The hand dropped away, as the blonde fell silent for a while. "You know what would do us really good right now? A night out drinking, then a day of sleep, curled around..." Rin paused, the slightest of frowns appearing on his features. He was meaning to say 'curled around a warm body', but in the end did not continue. For quite a few reasons actually. "Ah, just a night out drinking."

He knew what Rin meant when he stopped but he said nothing about it. "The only sad thing for me is I'm immune to the booze. You know I only get tipsy and then sober again for the rest of the night." He sighed. "The curse to my mutation. But I'd still like to have a night of drinking regardless. The socialness about it is what helps me, plus, I've been needing a drink for a while now." He smirked and looked down at his friend before leaning in and teasing him. "Then if you like I'll hold you and cuddle until morning." He nuzzled against Rin's neck to get a playful rise out of him. He loved teasing this guy. It was too much fun.

"Ahaha, yeah," Rin let out a bitter laugh, thinking that he's in no better situation -- he needed loads of booze to get drunk and stay drunk, eventually drugs -- before schrieking and jumping away, as his cheeks coloured. He rubbed at his neck, glaring daggers at Kite. "How many times do I have to tell you to not do that?!"

Kite just burst into laughter. "You're too fun to tease Rin." He winked at his friend. "Come on. Lets go buy some booze and start on that whole drinking the night away." He motioned for Rin to get into the car with him but then looked at Rin curiously. "Unless you want to change first and then go out?"

"I don't really have clothes here," Rin shrugged, though he did take a look at his current attire. It'd be good to change. "Maybe we can drop by my place?" It was convenient that Kite had a car, certainly. He wished that flush would come off his cheeks finally.

Chuckling softly, he nodded and started getting in the car. "Get in. We'll drop by your place and then head out for a bit." He smiled warmly as he started up the car. Once Rin was inside, Kite drove off. It was going to be an interesting night to say the least.
