Summary: After this thread. Shishido and Fuji visit Tomiyama. There's food and discussion and plenty of picking on Shishido. :D

It's late not because it's long but because I forget that I have finished logs just sitting around waiting to be posted. >>;;

Shishido quickly snuck a glance at himself in the reflection of the window as they walked up to the main offices and to Tomiyama's apartment door. It seemed almost like a weird deja vu as he had been there only the night before last, though at least this time there was no wine. Fuji was also with him this time, but he had yet to decide if that was actually a smart idea. His friend was protective of him and a good friend, but he also had a tendency of liking to pick on the ones he liked. Oh well, too late to worry now he decided.

“Oi, Tomiyama-sensei, your threesome's arrived.” He said loudly as he knocked on the door. He then noticed a few feathers out of place and curled his left wing around him to smooth them down.

Fuji chuckled at that -- a threesome, indeed, and with the headmaster, no less! -- and was about to make a suggestive comment when Tomiyama-sensei opened the door.

Tomiyama's serene gaze passed over both of them, lingering on Fuji a moment ... yes, he should have suspected that Shishido would bring him; there wasn't anyone else on campus that he was closer to. It shouldn't be a problem, overall ... "Yes, come in," he offered absently, and stepped aside to show his guests in.

It was true: there was no wine this time. Tomiyama believed that Shishido had learned his lesson two nights prior; if he needed any further education, he could learn in the classroom instead of his sensei's apartment. "I hope you boys don't mind that dinner is a bit ... experimental, this evening. Please," he went on, indicating his couch, "make yourselves comfortable."

Shishido tucked his wings back behind him as he entered Tomiyama's home again, eyes scanning the rooms for any details that he may have missed or forgotten. “An experiment? You're not going to try to kill your favourite students are you?” He asked perching on the arm of the couch.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Tomiyama said, "though it would free up some spaces on X-Prime, wouldn't it?" He smiled to himself, and regarded each of his students in turn. "See if you can come up with some scintillating dinner conversation. I'll be back momentarily."

Fuji watched Tomiyama-sensei disappear into his kitchen, presumably to round up this "experimental dinner" of his, then seated himself comfortably on the couch. "Well," he said, glancing at Shishido, but didn't finish his question, if he was going to ask one.

Shishido gave Tomiyama a funny look at his X-Prime comment, wondering when there was a limit put in place at the number of people allowed to be involved. Oh well, if he was told he wasn't being killed off tonight he'd just have to trust the headmaster. “So?” He instead questioned Fuji, turning slightly to watch him. Just how scintillating did Tomiyama want his dinner conversation?

Fuji laughed, amused (as usual) at the situation. "You mentioned that there was some reason for coming here, didn't you? What was it you wanted to talk about?" His grin broadened as he scooted closer to Shishido and brushed light fingertips over his forearm. "Or did you want to have a threesome with the headmaster?"

“Oh, he wanted me to discuss what I thought his powers were... I think.” Shishido grinned somewhat sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head. Maybe he should have paid closer attention to what he was supposed to be doing here but really, when there was food involved that always took precedence. But until the food came he was free to play, “Though I was thinking there wouldn't be any harm in spicing up our sex lives if the chance came up. I thought you always admired Tomiyama.” In retrospect it was probably a bad idea to encourage Fuji in these things, but having spent the last two years flirting with and trying to get Tomiyama to admit that he wanted him it was sort of an ingrained habit to keep doing it.

"Admired, maybe," Fuji agreed, "and he is quite good- looking, isn't he?" He had to admit that, while he hadn't had as much contact with Tomiyama as some of his teammates had, there was something about the mysterious headmaster that Fuji found fascinating, even if he couldn't name it directly. "I wonder how he'd take the suggestion."

"Not as well as some might think," Tomiyama replied, re- entering the room with a tray of food. "I don't reccommend suggesting it if you can help it." They wouldn't be the first students to attempt a move on him, and Tomiyama was sure they wouldn't be the last. He could put aside their comments momentarily -- he knew that at least Fuji-kun was kidding; one wondered about Shishido-kun sometimes.

“And yet another one of my lifelong dreams crushed so soundly by the very person who's supposed to nurture them... “ Shishido said with mock dramatic wistfulness, though he had to wonder what would happen if he did suggest that threesome. And then he saw the food. “At least you offer comfort in the form of food.” He leaned forward to get a better look at the tray. It didn't look that out of place. What exactly was the experiment part of this?

"I think you might want to ask Fuji here for any other comforts," Tomiyama remarked, deadpan. It wasn't as though the two of them were trying to keep any secrets about the nature of their relationship ... and Tomiyama always knew more than he let on. "Try it," he continued, in regards to the food. "I think you'll like it."

There was no point in denying that him and Fuji sometimes shared a bed for more than sleeping, while they were more discreet about that then their flirting it was hardly a secret. It didn't mean he still couldn't make Tomiyama wonder if he knew as much as he thought he did. “But I have so many needs.” Shishido explained, as if saying that one person, not even Fuji, could take care of all of his comforts. He doubted Tomiyama would care though besides wanting to have complete information on his students.

“And what is this?” Shishido reached for some of it anyway, food was food afterall. And it was hardly the dinner two nights ago that had made his head hurt.

"Rest assured that it won't kill you," Tomiyama explained vaguely. It might hurt a little, he thought; he doubted Shishido liked his food so spicy, but he would certainly survive the experience. "Did you boys happen to come up with any particularly interesting conversation topics, or are you content to sit on my couch and eat my food?"

“I didn't think you liked our dinner conversation topic.” Shishido said, giving his food a sniff before taking a rather large bite of it. He immediately wished he had thought to take a more diminutive bite, he was so not liking that burning sensation. One would think that after two years of knowing Fuji he'd be used to things like that, but all it had taught him was what to avoid. Trying not to show his discomfort, a useless act as his wings were badly ruffling behind him, he tried to calmly make his way to Tomiyama's kitchen to get something to drink ASAP. And no, he didn't care if it was rude to scavange his headmaster's kitchen for a glass and juice without asking. When he said it wouldn't kill them, he could have also shared that it would kill his tastebuds.

Fuji didn't raise an eyebrow, but knew that a reaction like that could only mean that he would personally find it interesting, at the very least. But he did express a certain concern: "He'll be alright, sensei?"

Tomiyama nodded. "Don't worry about him," he explained. "Shishido-kun is prone to overreacting." He paused a moment before calling out to him: "The cups are in the cabinet above the sink."

Shishido immediately opend the cupboard, grabbed the first glass he saw through watery eyes and proceeded to down two cups of orange juice before feeling as if his mouth was no longer on fire. He brought the remainder of the juice container and the cup with him back out to where the others were. Sure the food could be considered lethal to his tongue, but he was still hungry and he wasn't about to let a few spices get the better of him. At least not when he had a ton of juice beside him. “I think you may have gotten a bit heavy handed with the spices.” He commented, trying to fold ruffled wings behind him as he tried to decide what he should risk eating next.

"Did I?" Tomiyama asked, feigning ignorance -- and doing a farily good job of it, at that. "I suppose I'll have to be more careful next time. I forget what's an acceptable amount, sometimes."

Fuji thought it was perfectly acceptable, but he also knew that his tastes ran contrary to most people's. He chewed another piece thoughtfully, content to observe the interaction between Tomiyama and Shishido. It was ... amusing, to say the least. But he was careful not to chuckle too much; his headmaster was the last person he wanted to displease, and it was hard to tell sometimes if he was joking.

"So tell me," Tomiyama began, reclining, "how have the two of you progressed, lately?"

“I know it must have been hard to concentrate knowing I was going to be gracing your place with my presence twice in one week, but you really should have tried harder.” Shishido commented with a smirk before popping some more food in his mouth and immediately rinsing it down with some juice. His wings ruffled up behind him again but at least his eyes didn't water this time.

“And I thought you had reports to tell you about how we've been progressing.” Shishido had come to love his mutation and it what it allowed him to do, even if there were parts that were somewhat annoying, but as a physical mutation there was really only so many things he could do with it. Or so he felt at times like these when he was expected to give a report.

Still as dense as ever, Tomiyama thought, though really, it didn't surprise him. Shishido's thickheadedness could be ... adorable, at times, when it wasn't a liability for the group. "Ah, yes," he said, "I do." He'd leave it alone for now; he could find out the information that he wanted from Fuji-kun later. "But you're enjoying yourselves?"

Shishido blinked at Tomiyama, why was he always asking weird questions. “Yeah, same as always.” If he wasn't enjoying himself he always made it quite clear in his journal. “Wouldn't complain about more time off though but that's nothing unusual.” And it wasn't, he'd been complaining about long training schedules since he was first cleared by the medical staff to start training. “Are you enjoying yourself?”

"Always," Tomiyama said. "And I'm glad to hear that you are, too." He glanced at Fuji again, as though he could glean some sort of understanding from just looking at him.

He couldn't. Shishido was far more reliable a source of information; he was the one who had little trouble communicating anything -- his emotions were on his sleeve, so to speak. "Do you have any guesses?"

Grabbing some more food and downing more orange juice, Shishido just nodded, glad that being the sole headmaster wasn't too much work for the sadistic Tomiyama. “Guesses? On why you don't give us more vacation time? Not a clue.” He teased because he knew that couldn't be what the headmaster was talking about. And if it was back to what his powers were, he was rather stumped again. He figured he had to have some telekinetic powers to move stuff like he did but now he also healed faster but he still had some other ideas to what his power could be too. Because he'd always felt a basic telewhatever was too simple for the man in front of him.

"Mm, so you want more vacation time," Tomiyama mused. His students always did, but they needed to train; they needed to be prepared ... there wasn't much time, by his calculations, and it made more sense for them to step up their training now more than ever before ... "Well," he decided, leaning forward. "I'll give you the weekend if you can guess correctly." He knew they wouldn't. Even Fuji couldn't.

Just as Shishido's hopes were getting up, he saw them shatter against the rocks, wings drooping slightly behind his back as he frowned. “What the Hell, are you Rumplestiltskin now? That's so lame.” He huffed and crossed his arms and then looked over to Fuji. Maybe his friend and him could put something together. If he could get the weekend off he could piss off Kamio and go and crash over at Yuushi's place.

Fuji wasn't sure he liked that idea much, either, and returned Shishido's skeptical look. There wasn't much chance that they could get it right, not with the plethora of mutation types that were known -- and some that weren't. Perhaps it was worth working through the weekend again ...

But Tomiyama just laughed. "It's up to you," he said, and took another appetizer for himself.

“Well its not like we lose anything just by guessing right?” If there was no harm in trying, they had to at least do that. Shishido was convinced that you never knew what you could do until you tried it. And he'd been trying to see a look of shock on Tomiyama's face for years now and if he could get one by even partially guessing correctly then they'd try to do that.

"That's right," Tomiyama confirmed, "there's no penalty for trying." He had to applaud Shishido's attitude; it would certainly come in handy on certain types of missions ... especially the one that they would need to undergo very soon. One couldn't let the odds keep them from realizing their goals ...

“Great.” When dealing with Tomiyama, it was always better to at least check that there would be no unnoticed penalties. With that out of the way, Shishido got down to business. “Okay, well we know you have to be telekinetic...” He looked over at Fuji to make sure he agreed.

Fuji nodded in agreement. "At the very least," he said. Enough of Tomiyama-sensei's training sessions had focused on averting obstacles that it indicated some sort of object manipulation; telekinesis was a good choice, especially since the headmaster's powers were currently faulty. Or so he said.

"And?" Tomiyama prompted. It didn't matter whether there was more or not; his students needed to be thorough with their investigations.

Okay, so Fuji agreed with him so far and agreed that there was more, Shishido thought before deciding what to say next. “Well you proved that you can hold alcohol pretty well, suggesting a high metabolism rate or healing abilities... “ He thought about that a moment and looked down at the food. “Since we don't see you snack all of the time and you'd have to have a higher metabolism than me, I'm going to say a pretty good healing level.”

Tomiyama chuckled -- he'd said as much, hadn't he? "Anything else?" he asked. There wasn't, but again: it was important to be thorough.

“You taught us that our powers are always evolving... so even if there isn't today there could be tomorrow.” Shishido said hoping that might get him enough brownie points for his weekend off, even if he didn't get all the different aspects of Tomiyama's mutation.

That was Fuji's turn to chuckle. Shishido's response seemed to come from one of Tomiyama's lectures verbatim. Perhaps he was the only one that appreciated the irony... As it was, he had nothing else to contribute to Shishido's suggestion. "I'll agree with him," he said.

Tomiyama nodded. "You have the weekend off," he said. Thanks to Echizen's persistence, he'd been planning on giving them the weekend off anyway, so it didn't matter whether they'd gotten the question right or not -- but he wanted to see whether they were up for the challenge in the first place. "Out of curiosity, how have your own powers been evolving? Either of you."

“Seriously?!” Shishido's wings flapped lightly behind him as he grinned. This weekend was going to be awesome. He'd visit Yuushi, he'd work on plans for his bedroom and he'd bug Fuji to help him with recruiting people. It'd be great.

His mind was already wandering off to happy vacation land when Tomiyama insisted on talking more. “Eh? Evolving? Not lately. But since I finally mastered those damn neurotoxins I bet something else is going to pop up to annoy me soon. Just as long as it's not a beak.” Because he doubted even he could make that sexy.

"Oh, you'd look good with a beak," Fuji joked, nudging Shishido gently in the side, then turned to Tomiyama. "Nothing unusual," he admitted. He'd made enough progress, but there was only so much that could be done with portals, wasn't there? Point A, point B ...

“What?” Shishido ruffled at that, joke or not, he wasn't looking forward to a beak. “Let's see if you'd still be saying that after you realize a beak would hinder certain things.” Like kissing and blowjobs for starters. And no, he was not about to admit that he had weird dreams about turning more and more in to a bird and what a beak and webbed feet would be like to deal with.

"Hmm, maybe no beak," Fuji suggested, still grinning. He had more suggestions, but knew that none of them were appropriate in front of their teacher.

Tomiyama ignored their flirting, or at least pretended to. "If anything comes up, let me know. At the first available sign," he added.

Shishido knew that Fuji would see it his way and grinned at him before looking back at Tomiyama, “You'll be one of the first to know.” Not that they had a choice because with all the training they did, Tomiyama was bound to notice sooner rather than later and then he'd give them extra work for not telling him sooner.

"Thank you," Tomiyama said, and leaned back in his chair. "Anything that either of you tell me will be extraordinarily useful in your continued training." He directed his glance at Fuji -- he knew that Shishido could be counted on to report anything strange or new, but Fuji was too taciturn when it came to talking about himself. Tomiyama wouldn't want to risk losing an opportunity because one of his students felt ... shy. But he also knew Fuji wasn't likely to respond just yet, not now. Not today.

Given time, though. That would be different. "Was there anything else that either of you wanted to ask me?"

“Meaning you'll just make harder drills for us.” Shishido teased pouring himself some more juice to drink. He looked over at Fuji, debating whether he wanted to say what he did. He'd probably get kicked out of the apartment, but it was pretty clear that the night was winding down anyway. What the hell, he figured that he only lived once.

“Hey Tomiyama, you sure you aren't interested in a threesome?” Yeah, he was so going to be punished.

Fuji chuckled -- leave it to Shishido to actually ask that question, even when he already knew what the answer would be. He supposed his friend was nothing if not a risk-taker ...

"Not today," Tomiyama replied, grinning over the edge of his cup. He'd let Shishido figure that one out on his own.

Shishido, who was very much expecting to be told to get a grip on reality and to report early for training the following day could only grin at Tomiyama's reply. “Then should we come back for you tomorrow?” Not today did mean someday afterall. And while in all honesty he'd probably never actually go through with a threesome with Tomiyama, it was still fun to tease and flirt and see just when Tomiyama would finally cave and agree. Besides, it had the added bonus of entertaining his friend, and that was no small task.

It was probably for the best that Shishido didn't know what Tomiyama was referring to. It might have made things ... well, interesting, at the very least. "Tomorrow," Tomiyama said, "and we can meet in the Danger Room. In uniform. At 7:30 am. Does that work for you?" But he was still smiling; if Shishido disagreed, this might be the one time where he could get away with it.

“Why Tomiyama-sensei, I didn't realize you were in to kinky things and X-Prime cosplay. Have you been reading Doujinshis in your spare time?” Yeah he was so going to be flying laps around the danger room for rest of the year. “So just what type of settings can the danger room create anyway?” He leaned forward slightly, setting his juice down on the table as he looked up at Tomiyama. Fuji would save him before he completely left the line behind and started heading towards the suicidal level right?

"The darkest jungles and the most fiery pits of hell," Tomiyama replied dryly, and sipped his tea. "I suggest getting out now before you wind up digging yourself any deeper." He set his cup down and considered his two students. "However, I think you two may find at least one program in there that might be to your liking." At least one, if not more. They'd just need to find the right codes.

Shishido sat back up, wings fixing to tuck neater behind him at the dry tone. “Sounds pleasant...” Whoops, playtime was over. At least it seemed he managed to escape unscathed. “Anyway, thanks for the food but we should be off. Just try not to miss us too much.” He turned to Fuji to make sure he was ready to leave and stood to move towards the door, pausing to look back at the headmaster briefly. “Oh, and I'll take that as permission to find that program.” He then wisely booked it out of the room before Tomiyama could reprimand him or correct his assumption.

Fuji offered an apologetic smile for the headmaster. "Thank you," he said, with an appropriate bow. It almost felt to him that more should be said -- that some word should fill the empty silence stretching between himself and Tomiyama-sensei -- but if there was, he couldn't think of it.

Instead, he turned and followed Shishido out the door.
