Summary: Momo decides he has to tell Akazawa why he's acting strangely. Giant explosion of cute follows.

Momo: *picks at his sweatpants, and then turns to face Akazawa* Na...?

Akazawa: *at her desk working on her homework. When Momo speaks she removes her glasses and looks back to him* Yes?

Momo: *gives her a smile* Come sit?

Akazawa: *smiles back* Yeah, sure. *marks her place in her book with her pencil and closes it before going over to the bed and sitting beside Momo* What's up?

Momo: *gets comfortable and leans back on his hands* Well... I'm sure you've noticed I'm actin'... um, weird.

Akazawa: *laughs a little* To say the least.

Momo: *laughs and rubs the back of his head* Yeah... I dunno exactly what's happened, so I dunno how to put it in a way that doesn't make me sound *completely* insane... um. Well... I'm not the Momoshiro you know - I don't belong... here.

Akazawa: You're right, you sound completely insane. *pulls her legs up and hugs them to her chest* It's probably just how you're saying it.

Momo: *sighs a bit* I know... it sounds weird. You have to believe me, though... I dunno what happened. This isn't my school, though; I go to Ryuhana.

Akazawa: Ryuhana?

Momo: *nods* Yeah. Hanamura-sensei is still one of the founders, but... I don't know this Tomi... person.

Akazawa: Tomiyama-sensei? He's the headmaster...

Momo: ...I don't know who he is. I do know most of the people here, but... only 'cause they live in... well, uh, my world, I guess I should call it...

Akazawa: *frowns a bit* So, if I'm to believe there are two worlds - one with Tomiyama, one with "Ryuhana," what's so different about this one?

Momo: *glances away, and shifts* ...I'm not dating you, for one.

Akazawa: ...*laughs lightly* That's a relief.

Momo: *blinks* Oh?

Akazawa: I thought you... well, I thought *he* was upset with me, or something. *looks away, smiling a bit sadly* But if you're here, I wonder where he is...

Momo: *frowns a bit* I dunno... I'm sorry. I really don't know how this happened.

Akazawa: *rests her chin on her knees* No... no I'm sure everything's fine with him. *voice wavers just a bit* Really.

Momo: *continues to frown, and puts a hand to Akazawa's shoulder* If the same thing happened to him as it did to me, then I'm sure he's fine... prolly very weirded out, but nothing bad would happen. I... dunno how this'll be fixed, but we're tryin' to figure that out.

Akazawa: *nods a little and looks back at Momo* I'll help you, Tak... Um... *laughs* I don't know what to call you.

Momo: *gives a bright smile* You can just call me Takeshi - I really don't mind that.

Akazawa: *smiles softly back* Okay, Takeshi. *reaches out a hand to touch Momo's arm* I'll help you find a way to get home.

Momo: Thank you, I really appreciate it. *shifts a bit* I... know it's not my fault, but 'm sorry.

Akazawa: Don't be sorry. Maybe you aren't my Takeshi, but I think I'd be a lot more worried if you weren't here at all.

Momo: *laughs* Yeah, heh. You have a point. Out of curiosity, though... am I really that different?

Akazawa: *tilts her head a bit* A woman can always tell these things. *looks him over* Well, you look pretty much the same and you talk the same.

Momo: Doesn't sound like a whole lot is different then, heh.

Akazawa: *grins* So what about me?

Momo: From what I've seen, you're... not really all that different. You don't seem quite as... grumpy, but it's difficult to judge when you're in your female form, heh.

Akazawa: Hm~? *tilts her head* I'm always told my male form has an attitude problem.

Momo: *laughs* I guess... that could be a good way to put it. He's a great guy, though. I've only been sharin' a room with him for... mm, 'bout four months, maybe?

Akazawa: *laughs* You keep calling the other me "him." Does she go somewhere else when she's a girl?

Momo: *blinks and shakes his head* Nah. He... Akazawa was a guy before I... um, left, so it's just coming out like that.

Akazawa: Oh - right. Yeah, I just changed the night you started acting werid. *snickers*

Momo: *rubs the back of his head embarrassedly and laughs* Yeah. Akazawa... well, you. You're just a great person period. Heh.

Akazawa: Yoshi. *grins* You call me Yoshi.

Momo: *grins back* Well, Yoshi it is, then.

Akazawa: *brushes some of her hair away from her eyes* So... does Yamato-senpai give us a hard time for being late to class all the time, there, too?

Momo: ...*grin slowly turns into a sad look, and he looks down at his hands* Um... well, actually... Yamato-senpai isn't at Ryuhana anymore.

Akazawa: ...Oh. *frowns* That's... I never would have expected that. I mean, he loves this school - and he loves the kids and everyone...

Momo: I... know. He was... *pauses for a moment - he hasn't thought about what happened in a long time* ...He was murdered. Last year November.

Akazawa: *covers her mouth with one hand* ...No... that's horrible.

Momo: *nods* He and Kirihara. I... don't really know the details, but... *suddenly remembers something, and he turns to face Akazawa, eyes wide* You can't say anythin', though - you need to be quiet about this all. I told Inui-senpai that I wouldn't let anyone else know what's goin' on, and I don't think it'd be good if the Yamato-senpai and Kirihara here knew 'bout this. I shouldn't be talkin' about this at all, I don't think, but you need to know, so... well.

Akazawa: *nods slightly* I won't tell anyone... *looks away, murmurs to herself* Kirihara-senpai, too...

Momo: It was... horrible. I don't like thinkin' 'bout it, if I can help it... I really miss Yamato-senpai. He was the first person to really make me realize that... bein' a mutant isn't a bad thing.

Akazawa: ...So it's not all horrible here, right? I mean, you get to see Yamato-senpai again... *looks back at Momo*

Momo: *smiles a bit* Well, it's not really all that horrible... it just feels weird - different. It's like I'm seein' Yamato-senpai 'gain as if he were a ghost, or somethin'. Oh, but that reminds me! What 'bout Niou? Is he here?

Akazawa: Niou? *frowns* Wait. *abruptly stands* You don't mean... He's probably alive, if that's what you're asking. I don't thin anyone thinks that's a good thing.

Momo: *blinks* Wait - what? He isn't a teacher here?

Akazawa: A teacher? *laughs* Oh, that'd be a good idea. *sits back by the desk, crossing one leg over the other*

Momo: *tilts his head* He's not... is he not a good person? What 'bout Echizen...?

Akazawa: What about Echizen? I mean, he hasn't really been the same ever since the accident... but, you know, Senpai is Senpai.

Momo: Eh? Accident? I'm sorry, I'm really confused...

Akazawa: *opens her book, again* Let's just hurry up and get you home - you probably shouldn't worry about it so much, anyway.

Momo: *gets off the bed and moves over to Akazawa, sitting down on the floor beside her chair, and looks at her with his head tilted a bit, still* I'm sorry, I don't mean to pry or anythin'... and you don't need to tell me if you really don't wanna, but... did somethin' happen to Echizen?

Akazawa: Well... I don't really understand the particulars myself. *leans her cheek against her hand to look at him* Echizen's power sapped everything out of his father - it caused some huge problem that is screwing with everyone's powers and causing all kinds of problems even with humans.

Momo: ...Huh. There's another huge difference, then. I guess... Niou must never have been here, then, which would mean... 'kay. This is so weird...

Akazawa: Like I said, you probably shouldn't worry about it so much. I'll cover for you. *reaches out a hand to rest it on top of Momo's head, fiddling with his hair* 'Kay?

Momo: *nods and closes his eyes, relaxing into the touch* 'Kay, thank you, I appreciate it.

Akazawa: *smiles sadly while Momo isn't looking... but turns back to her work, withdrawing her hand* Don't you have homework to be working on, too, Takeshi?

Momo: *looks toward his own desk* Yeah... I guess I do. *stands up, and looks at Akazawa for a moment. He feels really bad about this happening, even if it's not his own fault...* Hey, Yoshi? *finds that he's moving out of pure instinct as he wraps his arms around Akazawa from the side, resting his chin on her head* I know I'm not really... yours.And that this is prolly a bit... awkward - for the both of us. But I don't really mind... this. I wanna help - I feel... well, kinda bad.

Akazawa: *blinks, blushing just a bit* ...I, um. *goes quiet, for a moment, before moving one hand to settle over Momo's arms* I don't want you to feel bad. *chuckles lightly* Besides, things have always been awkward between us. Like... When you first asked me out... um... I mean, when he did, we wouldn't date whenever I changed.

Momo: *doesn't move yet, even though he's not in the most comfortable position - it's not really as awkward as he would've thought it would be were he back at Ryuhana* Heh... if you don't mind me askin', what eventually happened with that?

Akazawa: *smiles softly* Well, I was stubborn about it... you just finally said one night that I was always me regardless of the body I'm in. You didn't really give me much choice... things were still a little weird at first, of course. But, you were right - we weren't changing just because my body changed - and before I knew it, I loved you too much to really care about those things.

Momo: *doesn't really say anything at first as he lightly squeezes Akazawa's shoulders* It... must be a wonderful feeling. Love, I mean. I'm... glad you were able to work that out, then. *smiles a bit sadly* We'll get him back where he belongs soon. I'm sure he misses you tons.

Akazawa: *nods a little and shifts out of Momo's arms so she can look at him* I know things aren't the same between you guys... but I bet the other me misses you, too. *scans his face with her eyes before meeting his gaze, once more*

Momo: *the corner of his lips turn up into a half-smile* I miss her a lot.

Akazawa: *smiles brightly* Okay, you - get your homework done. *stretches up so she can kiss his cheek before turning back to her book to continue her own homework*

Momo: *grins* 'Kay~ *goes back to his own desk and gets started on the homework that he's... not all that positive he'll be able to finish, but it'll be worth a shot*
