Summary: After discovering that things don't seem quite right to the both of them, Inui and Yagyuu meet up at the park to discuss their findings. They eventually make their way to Tomihana and break in, only to run into Shishido. Shishido's hostile, Yagyuu tries to seem as unthreatening as possible, and Inui just acts dumb amnesiatic. :D

It's evening by the time Inui makes it to the park, a small plastic container in his hands. He isn't dressed in his usual formal attire, since his closet didn't seem to possess any. Instead, he's wearing a shirt and a pair of khakis... something he did find in that messy closet. He feels awkward, wearing that sort of attire, but he keeps that frown hidden with a neutral facade.

He glances around, looking for a certain familiar face.

After the encounter that he'd had upon coming to, Yagyuu determined that Niou, though excellent company, would not be the best source of information on this world, such as it was. Rather than attempt to figure out what had been going on alone, he'd turned to the internet, and was glad to find that Inui may have experienced a similar fate. This meeting will confirm it.

Yagyuu lets his random morph dissolve as he approaches the park -- he can't let anyone mistake him for his counterpart, after all -- and he scans for Inui. The light is dim, but he finds his friend and he approaches with some determination. "It's good to see you," he greets. "And you did bring cookies." He hadn't expected that he actually would.

Inui sees a man approach him, but he doesn't readily recognize the other until he hears his voice. A small smile forms, despite the fact he isn't going to readily admit that he's relieved to see someone familiar. "Of course I did," the scientist answers with a small chuckle. "Though they aren't my famed spiced gingerbread cookies. My... roommate happened to be in the way," he explains, handing Yagyuu the box of oatmeal cookies he'd bought. He gives Yagyuu a once over before his smile turns polite. "I almost didn't recognize you without your glasses."

"Yes ... there was a mishap," Yagyuu explains vaguely, and he takes the offered cookies. "I assume you haven't found out much yet, but a cursory investigation of news items and the like reveals that this place is quite different. My experiences with Niou-kun ... well, confirmed it." He reaches up to adjust glasses that aren't there, and shakes his head. "Tell me what you've discovered thus far."

Inui nods grimly, motioning for Yagyuu to sit with him at a nearby bench. "Correct. I probably don't know much more than you do. But one thing is for certain, we're still in Japan, though it seems our current situations are quite... different from what we are used to," he states the obvious with a soft sigh. "My... counterpart, I suppose you could say, is a medical student." He pauses, as if that statement holds more significance than it does initially. "But in any case, have you seen the headlines today?"

Yagyuu nods. "I did," he admits. "Hence my mention of the analogue to Ryuhana. It may be the best place to begin looking for proper answers."

"Ah yes, you mentioned that. Do you know where the facility is?" Inui wonders if it was in the same place as their Ryuhana.

"Looking in the same location as we know Ryuhana to be located may be our best bet, initially; if that fails, we can attempt searching other locations," Yagyuu suggests.

Inui nods, letting out a soft sigh. "That plan is sufficient. Luckily, the layout of Tokyo hasn't changed much." He stands, waiting for Yagyuu.

Yagyuu follows. "That would be problematic," he observes. "The changes I've noted so far don't seem to be quite so drastic." At least, he thinks, on anything more than a personal level. "That, at least, ensures that we won't be too lost, yes?"

"Fortunately. I'm afraid my sense of direction still isn't very good, however," he jokes with the shake of his head. But the streets do seem familiar enough, and soon they're at the gates of a large school.

Ryuhana's familiar dragon-and-flower crest, usually affixed to the front gate, has been replaced with a series of kanji illustrating the new name: Tomihana. But just like Ryuhana, these gates are operated by a security system requiring a passcode and identification. Ideally the fingerprint scan would be identical to their counterparts, but neither of them are students or faculty, as far as he can tell. Yagyuu frowns. "I don't suppose you have any ideas on how to get in?"

Inui smiles politely at the other and steps up to the gate. He touches the metal bars with his fingers, and they immediately bend and contort to form an archway. "One idea." He steps through.

Yagyuu doesn't let his surprise show -- he had no idea his friend's powers extended to such ... impressive displays. "And a good one," he comments, and follows Inui onto campus grounds.

He's surprised to find even the layout of the school hasn't changed much, though the buildings are all larger. It seems relatively empty, but then, it is evening.

They're there now, but now what? Inui glances around, expression neutral. "Any idea what we should be looking for?"

"Assistance," Yagyuu explains. "Possibly answers." He scans the grounds for any movement, and takes a few steps forward, towards the center of campus.

"You know, if you're trying to raid us, you sort of suck." Shishido says casually as he swoops down from a tree and lands several feet away from the intruders. He stays in a defensive stance and watches Yagyuu carefully.

Inui stiffens, but his gaze remains calm. Wings. That Shishido said he had wings. "...Shishido...kun?"

Yagyuu debates the merits of telling Shishido (he does recognize him, though it's odd that he's here) that they're not on a raid yet; but now that they have the proper information they will soon.

He decides it's a bad idea, especially considering current events. "I assure you we're doing nothing of the sort," he explains calmly.

"You're a terrorist! Why should I trust you. And what are you doing with Inui?" He gives Inui a nod in recognition but otherwise keeps his attention on Eidolon. He's their enemy, and can't be trusted, especially since he's traveling with the ill Inui.

"I would advise you not to jump to conclusions," Yagyuu suggests. "Things may not be precisely as they seem." He hopes that he can simply shake Shishido-kun from bothering them, but if his personality has not changed, it isn't likely.

"...A terrorist?" Inui feigns bewilderment, looking between the both of them. But then he smiles at Shishido. "You must be mistaken."

"No mistake. Him and his partner are no friends of Tomihana." He points out flapping his wings lightly. "Both of you leave now and I won't make a scene."

"Perhaps you could help us," Yagyuu ventures. "I have no intention of harming anyone; as you can see, I am unarmed. You may ... search me if you like," he adds, extending his arms to either side.

"Yeah I'm not falling for that one. I touch you, you shapeshift to appear like me. I'll stay right here and you can explain what you need." He highly doubts Eidolon woke up today and thought to himself that it was a great day to join the good side.

Yagyuu knows he needs to think quickly. Shishido-kun appears to be acquainted with Inui, perhaps even a friend. That may be his best approach.

"I hadn't wanted to divulge this information, but if you insist on standing in our way, then you leave me no choice." He glances at Inui, hoping that he won't mind being volunteered. "I encountered him outside," Yagyuu explains. "While he didn't appear to be harmed at first glance, his memory is ... patchy at best. I thought returning him to a trusted facility where he could obtain the proper care would be a wise course of action."

At that, Inui smiles apologetically at Shishido. "I suppose I shouldn't have been wandering by myself. But... Yagyuu-kun, was it? He was kind enough to help me."

"Consider him returned. Now get lost," Shishido says bluntly, never one to beat around the bush.

"Very well," Yagyuu replies, with a respectful nod. He spares one last glance for Inui. "Please tell me how it goes," he requests. "I'd be happy to hear that you're well."

"Thank you," Inui replies gratefully before turning to regard Shishido. "It's all right to keep in touch with him? He doesn't seem like a villain."

"If you could remember what he's done, you wouldn't be asking that." Shishido is even more worried for Inui's mental state now since he can't remember all of the horrid things that have happened.

"I see," the scientist frowns, a lost expression on his face. "Then, perhaps another time, Yagyuu-kun."

"Perhaps," Yagyuu answers, preferring to leave it vague for now and contact Inui via the internet later. He's sure that Inui will gather enough information about this Tomihana to help them make an informed decision when they regroup -- and possibly find the other students, if any other came with them. "Take care of yourself," he says -- perhaps to both of them -- before turning and leaving campus.

Shishido glares at Yagyuu's back, watching him until he was sure that he was actually leaving the property. "How'd you two get in here anyway?" He asks Inui, "I didn't think you'd remember the entry codes"

"Ah... well... we needed to find a way in, so I made one," Inui explains almost sheepishly. "But I won't do it again."

Shishido's eyes widen. "Shit, you closed it though right?!" His wings flap at the thought of a gaping hole like that in their security. Tomiyama would never let him hear the end of it!

"Of course, of course," he tries to calm the winged one. "I assure you, my short-term memory is still functioning," he smiled.

"Good. Hey come on, we'll head back to the main building and get you a snack or something while I all Kite to come get you." Shishido offers, stepping off towards the main buildings.

"I suppose you won't allow me to cook you something to show my appreciation?" Inui asks with a smirk as he follows the winged man, obviously joking. "But thank you. I apologize for the inconvenience I may have caused."

"When you're better you can cook me a whole damned meal." Shishido leads Inui in to the kitchen and points to some snack food left out. "Have some food, I'm gonna call Kite. And don't worry about it, I probably owe you."

"I'll take your word for it, then," Inui smiles politely at the other. It didn't seem like he'd be able to do any research now, so their investigation would have to wait until another day, when the opportunity arises.
