Summary: A chance encounter between Fuji and Ohtori leads to some interesting conversation. Covered topics include Blackguard and Ohtori's future in medicine. ;D

Choutarou grinned to himself as he walked back to Oshitari-san's home from the store, he'd just left the shop and was proudly toting a see through human figure with removable colour coated organs so he could further practice anatomy while going over the book Oshitari had given him for his birthday. It was a great day, he had enough time to get home for a tasty lunch and get a few hours of reading done, train with Kamio, and have dinner with his nocturnal lover. And best of all, around 9 that night, he'd get to see his long lost 'brother', Blackguard. Life was pretty sweet, he grinned again, pushing up the thick framed glasses beneath the beanie that he wore as a disguise, just to be safe. He wouldn't like being detained for his past, but more so today than any other day.

Fuji had spent most of the afternoon on a photographic tour of a relatively familiar part of the city. He hadn't wanted to stray very far, on the chance that he'd get called home by either Bunta or Yuuta -- you never could tell with either of those two.

Most of the day's pictures, as a result, had been unfortunately boring. Fuji might have even called them trite, if he'd been in a particularly unpleasant mood. Instead he sighed and deleted the last five pictures from his camera, then looked up to scan his surroundings for anything even remotely interesting or out of the ... ordinary?

Was that person ... transparent? He'd have to cross the street to get a closer look. As he approached, though, it was easier to see that it wasn't a potential mutant at all, just an anatomical model. Still, it was unsual enough that he might be able to use it for something. "Excuse me," he said, jogging to catch up with the tall stranger. "I was wondering if I might take a picture?"

Hearing a familiar enough voice to make him swallow anxiously, the tall boy turned and glanced at the stranger. Only- that was no stranger at all. Settling down the short figure, he smiled cheerfully, "Hello Fuji-san. I didn't think I'd run across you here."

As he turned, the glasses slid down the bridge of his nose revealing his large, puppy-brown eyes and some silvery bangs. (He'd decided not to wear any of the disguising mechanisms today, preferring to feel almost normal for a change of pace.)

"Ohtori-kun," Fuji said, surprised to see a familiar face behind the rudimentary disguise. "I have to admit I wasn't expecting to run into you, either." He smiled genially and slid his camera back into his messenger bag; he wouldn't need it anymore. "It looks like you've been busy today. New friend?" he joked, indicating the model.

"I call him Seto," the taller boy set the figure down gently on its stand and discreetly wiped his palms on the army green cotton jacket that ended mid thigh on him. Something about being around the older mutant always made his palms tingle with electric energy. "Can I ask why you wanted a photo of him though?"

Fuji laughed. "I'm afraid he's one of the most interesting things I've seen all day. I haven't had much luck finding anything I haven't already photographed, especially since I've had to give up on my ... hm, usual subjects."

"Ah- well it's fine with me if you like- I don't mind it at all." He found it safer not to ask what Fuji would consider the usual subjects- though he had taken lovely pictures of him and his lover...

"He's just to help make sense of the anatomy books that Oshitari-sempai gave me."

"So you are continuing your studies," Fuji remarked, though he'd never really had any doubt, with the way that shishido talked on his journal. "I'm glad to hear it - perhaps it won't be long before we really do have more doctors who specialize in particularly unique patients. Are you enrolling at a university this year, by chance?"

"Well- after the ...schools were taken over- I couldn't study- so I got a bit behind in that. Sometimes Ryou seems to forget I'm a whole year younger than he is. But Oshitari-sempai got a tutor, so I should be pretty close to being caught up." He couldn't help looking just a bit proud as he removed the costume glasses and cleaned them with a practiced precision. "I still want to have my very own clinic for people of...our unique needs."

"Very admirable," Fuji commended. "I have to wonder, though, if there are any medical schools that cater to someone with your intended career path." He'd heard that some of Ryuhana's students had similar intentions, but hadn't had much luck finding teachers outside of Ryuhana's medical center. "It would be a shame if there weren't, don't you think?"

Ohtori smiled playfully and patted Fuji's arm, making sure there wasn't a trace of feelable energy on him before raising his brow. "And what would make them think I was anything but a perfectly normal student, Fuji-san?" The silver haired youth cracked a huge grin and removed his hand. He'd practiced control with as much dedication as he gave to his studies and his lover.

"Oh, it's not you that's the problem," Fuji explained. "Just your major. Though maybe you could create some sort of independent study program, if only you could find someone willing to teach you ... it must be difficult, with so many variations on the theme ... not one of us is the same, after all."

"That's just all the more reason to keep learning- we all have different needs." He smiled again and picked up the odd figure, moving him out of the way so he wouldn't hold up foot-traffic. "But that's still a long ways in the future. I have to finish High School first, which is a lot easier with everyone's help at Oshitari-san's home."

"Where is that, by the way?" Fuji had heard that the majority of the other Hellfire Club members -- in addition to Shishido, Ohtori, and Eiji -- had taken up residence at the Oshitari mansion, and felt that he was at a distinct disadvantage not knowing where he might find them. Oshitari knew where he'd been staying, after all; Ryuhana's location wasn't a secret.

Well- he'd been told not to tell Blackguard about it...but Fuji. "You really don't know? At all?" This was a dilemma, he didn't want to offend Oshitari and tell someone something he was not supposed to, but then again- he was pretty certain that Fuji was in the Hellfire Club if the other mutants in the house were anything to go by.

"I'm afraid not," Fuji admitted. "You ... you do know I'm an associate of his, right?" That was the best way to put it, he thought -- both Shishido and Ohtori knew about the Hellfire Club, and as far as he was aware, both could be considered adjunct members, if not in the Inner Circle. "It would hardly do if I couldn't contact him myself, after all."

"I know. Ryou told me that you spoke with him about something." Sometimes it was just easier playing dumb, and if the innocent and clueless way he carried himself on occasion helped with the illusion, why not use it to his advantages. "Well- I can give you his phone number, email address or anything like that."

Fuji was sure he already had those methods of contacting Oshitari, but he'd already made it sound as though he couldn't get a hold of him at all outside of the journals. "I'd like that, thank you," he said. "Ah ... maybe we should find some place more out of the way."

Pulling out a small piece of paper from his wallet, he handed it over with the Hellfire Club leader's phone number and such on it, he wouldn't risk anything more. "That might be wise, I just can't stay out too much longer. I have a very busy night ahead of me."

Fuji studied the paper Ohtori'd handed him. No, nothing new, but good to have on hand when he was away from his computer. "Ah?" he asked, with a tilt of his head. "Perhaps I should let you go, then?"

"It's nothing until dark, I wanted to see Ryou before I met up with Blackguard-nii."

Had Fuji been anyone else, his expression might have chilled upon hearing that name. But as he was himself, he kept his unassuming smile in place, kept his tone conversational. "Oh, you're going to see him tonight? Any particular plans?" Like slaughtering innocents?

"Nope- just catching up on old times. I'm so happy he's back, I missed him." He frowned thoughtfully, "I think Ryou's upset because he kept wanting to come- but I'm sure he'll get over it."

Fuji filed that information away for personal reference. Kamio had mentioned something about Shishido keeping an eye on those two -- it was no surprise that he'd want to join Ohtori for the meeting. "He may," Fuji suggested. "I'm sure you'll at least let him know what he missed out on, ne~?"

"Oh yeah. Blackguard and I are pretty boring. We just talk a lot." As far as he could recall, so that had to be it. "Either way- we're meeting up around 9 tonight at the park- I'm so excited." He couldn't help flashing a brilliant smile and toying with his cross. He was getting to see someone he considered family, and saw as a hero!

More information to file away for now. Fuji might cancel his evening plans if it meant he could keep an eye on the meeting -- just to observe, he told himself, in lieu of Shishido's presence. "Well, I hope you have fun," he said. "Just not too much fun, right?"

"No never...I don't know what we'll do. He doesn't eat, and Ryou seems a bit tense about me going out tonight." Ohtori smiled calmly again and hefted his figure up into his arms. "I should probably be heading home anyway."

"So should I," Fuji agreed. "I may have someone waiting for me by now. It was good seeing you again, of course."

"Same here, you can reach all of us at that number, okay? Be safe." And with a quick bow, the tall mutant was off and running, the clear man wrapped protectively in his arms.
