Summary: Kaidoh and Kabaji decide to meet at the Tokyo Tower for the afternoon.

Um, we need a Kabaji tag! :D; <3

Kaidoh arrived at Tokyo Tower just before six, keeping to himself carefully to make sure that he wouldn't accidentally bump into anyone. He was wearing his image inducer, of course, but that didn't mean he couldn't hurt someone if he bumped them the wrong way. He found a spot over to the side and out of the path of the crowd a little and leaned against the wall, glancing around now and looking for Kabaji-san. He'd never met the other boy in person, but he had an idea of what he looked like and thought the other might know his face as well. They'd agreed to meet at six, so Kaidoh checked his watch and waited, hoping to spot the other once he arrived.

Something about being rather large - to put it lightly - was that people stepped out of your way without you even having to push your way through. It was good, Kabaji thought, since he was running rather late. His last glance on his watch had told him that it was five minutes to six and he still had quite the road ahead of him. If things worked out well, then he hoped he'd be on time, if not... What if Kaidoh thought he was putting him off? Wouldn't that seem rather rude? Not to mention down right unfriendly...

As it was, however, he did manage to make it on time, and it didn't take him long to spot the other boy, the tell tale bandana and those very special eyes made him stand out in the crowd. Kabaji silently slid up beside him and nodded.

"I'm here."

Kaidoh realized just as Kabaji approached him who he was, and stood a little straighter, trying to look less worried and more welcoming - Kabaji-san seemed like a really nice boy, and he also sounded like maybe he could use some friends. Kaidoh knew what that felt like, and he wanted to help. He offered a shy smile to the other, giving a small nod of his own. "Hi. It's, um, nice to meet you, um, in person."

Around them, the crowds of visitors continued on their way in or out of the building, making Kaidoh think that maybe they might want to join them, albeit more quietly than some of the rowdy children. He pointed to the elevators just down the way in the lobby. "Um... as long as we're here, maybe we should go up."

Kabaji nodded, paused and then deadpanned: "Forgot my wallet." Because, even if it was unbelievably stupid, he had been in quite a rush, since almost everything had seemed to work against him getting to his appointment in time today, and in the stress, he had completely forgotten about something as essential as his wallet.

Kaidoh blinked, then nodded - and pulled out his own wallet to check. "I, um, have enough for both of us. If you wanted to pay me back, um, later... But we don't have to go, either..." He didn't mind paying for Kabaji-san now - he'd talked to him enough to know he could trust him, and didn't mind lending him money. But he also understood if the other didn't want that, and they could do plenty of other things for free. "Or t-there's a park nearby, or, we could just walk.

A thought passed through Kabaji's head; if he told Kaidoh to give him all the money he had, the other boy would probably do just that without thinking twice. That sort of power was... frightening, to say the least. The taller boy shoved those thoughts aside and merely nodded. "Hungry. They have cafeteria up there."

"Okay," Kaidoh said, nodding - that sounded like a good idea to him, so he led the taller boy to the ticket counter beside the elevator and paid for tickets. It wasn't too expensive; he still had some money left for food once they arrived on the upper level, so he simply handed Kabaji-san his ticket and they waited for the elevator.

It didn't take long for it to come, and soon they were on one of the upper levels, stepping out with a rush of students and Kaidoh tried very hard to stay close to Kabaji and not get his elbows anywhere near any of the students. He didn't want to hurt anyone. They exited the elevator and, spotting the cafeteria, Kaidoh pointed. "We can head there, um, first, then. And maybe a table by the windows will be, um, open so we can look outside while we eat." He hadn't gotten to sit by the window on his school trip here, a few years ago.

"Hope so." He scanned the area and all though all tables seemed occupied, luck would have it that a couple sitting by one of the window tables just got up and prepared to leave. "I'll go save our seat. You order for us...?"

Kaidoh saw the couple looking like they were ready to leave, and nodded. "Okay - um, I'll get us some snacks and, um, something to drink." He headed for the counter, glancing at the selections and finally settling on a few small things that they could share, and a drink for each of them. When he was given a tray with all his selections, he made his way over to the table where Kabaji-san was waiting. "I hope this is all okay..."

"Anything is fine", Kabaji replied, picking out a few select items to himself, then turned his gaze towards the window, looking down. It was funny, from way up here everyone looked the same, it was impossible to tell who was a mutant and who was 'normal', everyone just looked like small, moving tin soldiers anyway. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Kaidoh said, glad the other liked his choices. He looked out the window, admiring the view and also glad that it was clear today. Everything and everyone looked so small outside the windows, and the sky was very clear, with white clouds dotting the sky here and there. "It's, um, nice to just sit here and, um, not have to worry about things, huh?"

"Usu." Because it was. He gave the other boy a small glance out of the corner of his eye as he tried to remember what the other boy's mutant power was. He failed miserably though, but something in the back of his mind told him that it was rather odd to see Kaidoh look like this; like a perfectly normal human being. Shouldn't he look more... different? Maybe?

Kaidoh nodded. "As long as I don't, um, spill anything on my, um, 'watch.'" He gave a small, self-admonishing smile; he was finally getting over that incident he and Ken-kun had gone through, but he certainly did not want a repeat of it. He didn't think he could take people throwing things at him again. He just couldn't. He looked at Kabaji-san again, wondering if the other minded the way he stood out (just a little) because of his size. Honestly, it wasn't anything he wasn't used to - his boyfriend was often just as... solid, if not more, so Kaidoh didn't think it very odd at all, that Kabaji was tall or well-built. Maybe he played sports... "So, um, d-do you get out much?"

The other kid seemed awfully nervous, didn't he? Maybe a lack of confidence? Well, to be a mutant and be boasting with self confidence, you had to be a rather peculiar kind of person, didn't you? Hm... "No. You?"

Kaidoh shook his head, laughing a little. "N-no, not really. Sometimes Aoi-kun takes me, um, out," he said, a small blush creeping onto his cheeks, "b-but otherwise, just to shop or, um, run." It was kind of sad - Kaidoh liked being outside, liked going places and moving around, but he didn't do it much for fear of people finding him out. Even with the image inducer, which had been proven to be obviously not foolproof. Or waterproof. "W-well, at least we're, um, getting out now. It's nice up here. W-we can walk around and keep looking when we're done eating, if you want."

Kabaji nodded. Yup, definately not sure of himself. Aoi... He knew him, wasn't that a boy in his school? Maybe? Or had he seen him online? He couldn't remember, and wasn't even sure he cared all that much. From the looks of it, the boy was important to Kaidoh here at least. That was probably good. He'd go along with that for the time being at least. "Walk is good. Everyone looks the same."

Kaidoh nodded. "Okay. We can walk, then." He took another few bites, since there wasn't much left of his half of the snack he'd bought - he was hungrier than he'd thought, apparently. Well, he had just come from training, even though it wasn't dinnertime yet. He piled his garbage on the tray neatly and waited for Kabaji-san to finish eating. "W-well, I guess everyone really is the same, in the end, right? Um, I mean, w-we're all people. That's what I kind of, um, always thought." People did good or bad things, not mutants. Mutants were just a subset, because everyone was human in the end, Kaidoh thought.

"Usu." From his experience, there were people, 'normal' people, out there who were far worse than any mutants he had run into during his stay at the school. Just served to prove that any kind of racism was utterly stupid, didn't it? But then again, mankind was stupid, wasn't it? "You normal. Mune-pi normal. Usu."

"... Y-yeah," Kaidoh said - some days he believed that, and some days he wanted nothing more than to... well, to look normal, if he was supposed to be normal. But there was nothing for it - wishing wouldn't get him anywhere, and things really could be worse in the end, he was sure. He was happy, so he couldn't really ask for anything more. "We are." He picked up the small tray, carrying it carefully over to the trash and tossing the contents in before coming back and smiling shyly to his friend. "Wanna, um, go look around now?" There weren't as many people walking around up here, so they should have a little room - and quiet - to themselves.

"Usu." The tall boy got to his feet, then stood around, not really moving, because he didn't want to take the first step, let the other boy lead the way. It was one way to seem less intimidating after all, since people often were alarmed by his height. If he merely looked like a follower and not a leader, he hoped he made a slightly better impression on people. Maybe.

It looked like Kabaji-san was waiting for Kaidoh to lead; Kaidoh wasn't normally the sort to take the lead, but he supposed it would be all right this time. Kabaji seemed happy to follow, so Kaidoh led the way out of the small cafeteria and towards the viewing gallery, where they could look out over the city. The last time Kaidoh had been here it had been cloudy, but it was clear today, and Kaidoh could even see Mt. Fuji past some of the haze. He pointed it out, glancing back to see if Kabaji saw. "You can see past the city today," he said, liking the view and the way it made him feel like he was part of something bigger.

"Usu." It was beautiful. Surely Japan had to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world? At least when you got away from the big cities that were filled with smog and trash and the like. "City ugly, nature pretty. You like nature?"

Kaidoh felt a small, amused smile break through at the way Kabaji-san put it, because it was very true. The city seemed so loud and busy and, well, ugly sometimes in comparison with the landscape. "Y-yeah, I guess so," he said, nodding. "I mean, um, I like being outside. And I like trees and flowers and everything." He hadn't ever been camping, but it sounded like something that could be a lot of fun - spending days upon end outside, alone or with a few other important people, where no one would bother him about the way he looked or what had been done to him... "I... um, I guess you do too, Kabaji-san?"

"Usu." He had at least liked the outside when he was a kid, then during the more turbulent years of his life he had found himself drifting away from it, but now he started to feel the "call of the wild" again, so to say. "Kaidoh... You shown Aoi nature? You like Aoi, no?"

Kaidoh blinked - he hadn't exactly expected Kabaji to say something like that, but... well, really, he should be used to it by now. It wasn't like it needed to be hidden. "Y-yeah, I like him," he affirmed, but then he thought about the first question. "I, um, no, I haven't really shown him. I g-guess we're just, um, you know, busy." Kaidoh wondered what Ken would think of camping. He'd never thought to ask. "Um... maybe we could all go camping, sometime?" Kabaji-san was quiet, but nice, and Kaidoh thought he and Ken might get along. Maybe they could go camping sometime, just for a day or two. That could be fun.

"Usu." That sounded like fun, really. He had never been out camping before in his life and it could actually be... nice. "Lets."

Kaidoh nodded, smiling now. "Okay. I'll, um, ask when I get back. M-maybe over a weekend or a vacation or something." Kaidoh wasn't sure how exactly the Brotherhood's school year was measured, but it couldn't be that different, right? They would find time, and soon. He was sure Ken would like the idea. They'd have to find camping equipment, but maybe the school had some they could borrow... maybe? Well, they'd figure it out. "Maybe it'll, um, show people that we really aren't different," he said quietly. "I mean, um, our schools..." He didn't like what the Brotherhood seemed to preach, but the students were still just people, and maybe if they saw that they could get along... maybe it would help?

He hoped so. It would be nice, to be able to relax and maybe just pretend that they were all normal, at least for a little while. "Kaidoh...? Thanks."

Kaidoh wasn't quite sure he deserved to be thanked, exactly, but he nodded a little, still smiling at Kabaji-san. He really did seem nice, and he hoped they could hang out together more often. Kaidoh didn't have a lot of friends, and it was nice to talk to someone new. "It's, um, it's nothing." He glanced out the windows again, realizing it was starting to get a bit darker outside. The days were getting shorter, and dusk was falling earlier every day. "M-maybe we should think about heading back."

Kabaji was sorely lacking on the friend's department as well, and this day had been a nice change of pace. Kaidoh was a good kid, a bit shy perhaps, but - and he couldn't believe he used this word - endearing. All in all, it had been a good day. "Usu. Let's go."
