Dear Ryuhana Students, Staff, and Faculty:
Before I begin, I would like to announce that Ryuuzaki Sumire has decided to go on an indefinite medical leave. She has requested that she receive no visitors at this time, therefore, any requests to see her will be declined.
Now.
Many, if not all, of you are aware of the atrocities that have befallen the mutant community at large of late. I regret that I was not available sooner to deal with the issues as they presented themselves. I thank those of you who have donated valuable time and resources to help those in need: both at the mall disaster site and at the hospital. Ryuhana Gakuen will continue to do everything in its power to assist those who we are able to help, human and mutant alike. Additionally, no student will be asked to do anything that they do not wish to do: all relief efforts will, of course, be voluntary. I do hope that all of our students will publically represent the message that this school carries, and facilitate human-mutant relations, even in the face of such astonishing adversity. Violence begets violence, and therefore will not be tolerated.
However, personal attacks on the sanctity of this institution will also not be tolerated. Those who violate that sanctity will suffer the consequences of their actions. I am pleased to announce that an underground emergency escape plan has been developed to be used in the instance of such an egregious violation occurring again. Students who wish to assist with construction in order to implement said plan will be given extra credit.
Classes will continue to be on indefinite hiatus until such time as the astral plane has been repaired. This includes academic instruction.
Hanamura Aoi
Headmistress,
Ryuhana Gakuen
[ooc: Yes, the Ryuuzaki explanation is a front. No, it won't be just volunteers that'll be sent out. Construction assistance includes digging tunnels throughout the school which will emerge in or near mutant-friendly homes and businesses.]
