Dated: A few days after Ohtori's arrival at the BH.
Summary: Oshitari....need I say more?

Under normal circumstances, Oshitari wouldn't be caught dead going near the medlab without a damn good excuse. But, he had heard a rumor that there was someone in the medlab, and he was bored and curious enough to consider it warrant enough to visit.
Hands tucked in his pants pockets, the chill in the air didn't bother him enough to put anything on his feet, or wear anything warmer than a thin long sleeved shirt. Though it amused him that the cold didn't bother him overly, not as much as it did the several unfortunates who didn't have the luck to possess a fireplace in their rooms. In an act of generosity, he'd sent them all new blankets, quite pleased with the general confusion and suspicion his action had raised in those that knew him, to the gratitude of those that did not. He had even sent one to the medlab, a very nice down-filled quilt. So he was quite surprised to see that particular quilt walking on its own out of the medlab.

Ohtori had decided it was a good enough time to explore his new surroundings. He had no identity there, and felt safer because of that simple fact. Carefully stepping out of the side of the hospital like cot he’d been hiding in, he was first surprised by the colder than expected air, and secondly by a new quilt that had been folded at the end of the bed atop his shell of bedding he’d existed under for the last few days. Shuffling to the end of the bed, he set his feet down, glad that his strength seemed to have started to return enough to make a walk about the school a possibility. Grabbing the quilt, as he was only in his socks, boxers and a t-shirt, he wrapped it over his head and shoulders like a large robe and started the slow task of leaving the only room he had known since his rescue. Perhaps he should find Blackguard, Whitehawk, or Shishido-san while he was out.

A walking quilt indeed. Oshitari snorted mentally to himself, having such foolish thoughts. Clearly, there was a person under there, most likely this mysterious person from the medlab.

It didn't take him long to catch up to the moving mass of cloth, his bare feet carrying him silently on long legs until he was directly behind it. Gently, he reached out and tugged the top of the blanket, only intending to get this new person's attention rather than remove the swaddling.

"Are you looking for someone in particular? Or is this simply a walk?" he asked.

Blinking and freezing mid-step when the hair on the back of his neck stood at attention, he thought there might be someone behind him, and then the blanket moved slightly. Tugging it down a bit tighter on his body, he lowered his head beneath the make-shift blanket hood and turned to the stranger. With his head at that angle, he knew his face wouldn’t be seen. He had no idea how horrible he might look, and as a new student he wanted to make a decent first impression and not traumatize future classmates.

”I guess it depends how far I can walk…”

This one was hiding...Oshitari wondered if there was a physical mutation under that quilt. He thought he could see a strand of hair, but against the white of the quilt, it looked almost colorless.

"If you tell me who you might be looking for, I can direct you to their room. The odds are they will not be in them at the moment, but few doors are locked here" he offered, tilting his head to the side to get a better look. He had the feeling eyes were on him from under the makeshift hood, but he couldn't see them.

“Blackguard or Whitehawk?” He realized Shishido-san would probably not be too happy to see him here yet. He didn’t have the energy for any arguments right now, so it was better to stick with his rescuer and the boy that came to visit at Blackguard’s request. Biting his lower lip nervously, he frowned and shifted his weight from one leg to the other, realizing he was not going to get too far anyway. He could vaguely make out the other’s form from beneath his blanket, he looked nice enough…”If it’s no trouble…of course.” He didn’t want to bother someone, even if they had offered to help first.

Blackguard and Whitehawk...hm. Interesting. Someone who only knew the other two mutants by their codenames? He played along.

"If memory serves, 'Whitehawk' should be in training. However, Blackguard's room is nearby, I believe." He made to move around the person, male if the voice was anything to tell from, and lead the way. He stepped on the trailing end of the quilt, which caught in his toes and made him stumble a bit.

"Perhaps this would be easier without the blanket?" he asked dryly, straightening and composing himself.

“Thank you,” he felt the blanket pull and the other stumble. Reaching out a bandaged arm, he caught him quickly to make sure he wouldn’t fall and then jerked his limb back into the warm quilt. Cold hallway, very cold hallway. Blushing, he mumbled a brief apology and ducked his head further into the warm quilts.

”I guess so…sorry.”

He hadn't missed the little shiver in the injured arm or the quick flash of a portion of a pale face before the quilt covered it all once again. Curiosity baited him.

"Do you require any clothes perhaps? I don't find it that cold personally, but perhaps you do, hence the mummification..." Oshitari reached out a hand to tug on the hood again.

“I don’t know what they did with my clothes…they took them when I was brought in…most of them…I guess.” He was currently thankful they had not taken his socks at least. He took a slight step back from the hand tugging his ‘hood’ and frowned a little. “It’s just a bit cold…and I’ve had a rough time.”

"How fortuitous that you found the blanket then" Oshitari stated, allowing the distance. Skirting around the rest of the white fabric, he gestured for the other to follow him down the hall. "It certainly sounds as if you've had a rough time, being confined to the medlab as you were. Perhaps Blackguard will have some clothing he will allow you to borrow." He kept his voice conversationally light, glancing over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of this mystery mutant.

“Yes- I heard it was you…thank you for giving one to the med bay” He offered a small smile and started to follow slowly along behind the other mutant, sometimes glimping up from the blankets to watch how the other moved, questioning his powers, and why he was being so kind to a stranger. Blinking back down the hall, the med bay was nearly out of his view. “It’s late…perhaps I shouldn’t bother him…” He paused and wrapped the blanket tighter around his shoulders and chest, frowning.

Oshitari shrugged off the thanks, tucking his hands back into his pockets as he walked. "I didn't do it for gratitude." Cautiously, carefully, he listened to the shuffling of feet and fabric behind him and concentrated. With calculation, he pictured the mutant behind him feeling warmth beneath the blanket...just a little too much warmth. He felt his power drift out, attuning itself almost sluggishly to the other.

Deciding to continue walking along, he soon found himself feeling at first just a little warmer, maybe the heat was coming on? Loosening his grip on the blanket a bit, he yawned, the heat making him a bit sleepier than planned. “So- Uhm….how long have you been here?” He asked, distracting himself from the concern that he might have a fever. Jeez, is the blanket on fire or something!? “Is it warm in here?”

"Two months" was his answer, the smirk curling slowly onto Oshitari's unseen face. Carefully, he nudged up the 'temperature' the other mutant was now suddenly feeling. "I don't feel any change...I am sorry, what did you say your name was?" He schooled his features long enough to send a questioning glance over his shoulder.

“Ohtori…” He shifted uncomfortably in the blanket mound and shuffled his steps, pulling at his t-shirt under the heavy quilt. “Choutarou…” Sighing, he could swear he was sweating a little. It was like the time his parents took him to a hotel and he fell asleep in the sauna, too hot. “I think I might want to head back for now…I’m not sure I am up to visiting anyone right now.”

Ohtori...Choutarou? Oshitari mulled over the name in his head a moment before it struck him.

It certainly paid to pay attention to everyone's journal, however miniscule and pointless the post. Even those from Ryuhana. He knew he recognized that name. There wasn't any need to get the other mutant to shed his costume then. He pulled his power back slowly, until the chill of the hallway penetrated through the hallucination he had wrought. "We are almost there, Ohtori-kun. At this point, it is a longer way back to the medlab than to Blackguard's room" he pointed out, turning now to face the younger boy.

Shaking his head, he frowned slightly and leaned on the wall. The fever, or whatever it was seemed to be subsiding. Chewing his lower lip, he looked out from beneath the white fabric and sighed. “I’d hate to be a bother to him…”

"I would invite you to my own room, Ohtori-kun. But its an even greater distance in the other direction" Oshitari said pleasantly, satisfied enough in his knowledge to let the younger mutant escape him. For now. "Blackguard is only three more doors down, on your left. Or do you require help back to the medlab?"

“Thank you all the same.” Smiling faintly,he took notice of the doors and where he was in the hall for future references as best he could. Realizing the quilt seemed to prevent him from seeing much above a shoulder level, he sighed slightly and pulled back the hood part of his blanket shell to look around carefully and commit locations to memory as quickly as he could, one hand snaking up from the quilt to run through unruly silvery spikes of hair. “I think I’ll manage, thank you for your kindness, Oshitari-senpai.”

Shrugging eloquently, Oshitari smiled at him generously while silently taking in every detail of Ohtori's exposed face. How interesting to have another Ryuhana student here to stay at the Brotherhood. It made him wonder just how many more little innocents he could have recruited in the time he had spent there.

"There is no need for thanks, Ohtori-kun. If you do not require any further help, I won't keep you." Nodding his head at the silver-haired boy, he turned on his bare heel, tossing out a gentle 'touch' on the back of the boy's neck as he left, smirking to himself.

“Uhm- good night?” He blushed faintly and scratched at the back of his neck, cocking his head curiously. Maybe it was a fly or something? Shaking his head, and offering a weak smile at the other’s back, he turned back, tugging his blankets back up and dragging his feet along the halls to the med bay to finish sleeping.
